GLB Home Improvement Services. We answer Your SOS.
There are many different types of flooring. A home owner should take into consideration
Here in Central Florida, we not only have scorching hot days, we also get those torrential downpours. Having the right flooring in the area is essential. We'll go over your options to let you know what will or won't work.
Amount of Traffic
If you have a lot of foot traffic going in and out of one particular door, you may want to consider tiling a portion of the that entry. This allows dirt and grime to stay in one area instead of getting embedded in between the planks of a wood floor.
Pets and Children
We love 'em but they can cause havoc to a beautiful floor. Wood floors will react to the nails of large dogs and shoe cleats pretty much the same...scratches. Also, if your pet sheds, that could play a role in the color of flooring you choose. Either way, GLB will give you our best advice.
Wet areas are considered to be bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms. Anywhere there is running water that could possibly overflow. These areas are usually done in vinyl, tile or stone, but there are some laminates that can withstand a certain amount of water. If you're unsure, let us point you in the right direction.
Our flooring team will assess your floor and if it can be repaired you'll bet we'll let you know.
Accidents happen. That glass crashed on your kitchen tile or the heavy furniture dug a scratch in your wood planks. Whatever the cause, if it can be repaired, we have the know-how.
